Rachel Axler is a four-time Emmy Award-winning TV writer and playwright. TV: Veep, Dickinson, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, Parks and Recreation, Bored to Death, How I Met Your Mother, Childrens Hospital, Mozart in the Jungle, Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp, and more. Her play, Smudge, was developed at the O'Neill National Playwrights Conference, premiered Off-Broadway with Women's Project Theater, and is published in English and German, one of which she speaks. Her play Archaeology premiered at The Kitchen Theatre. Radio: NPR's Prairie Home Companion/Live From Here with Chris Thile. Humor pieces of hers are published in The New Yorker's Daily Shouts, The New York Times, and an upcoming anthology of female comedy writers, among others.
