Disney's Frozen JR at the Junior Theatre Festival Opportunity

One Successful School/Youth Group will be given the opportunity to Perform from Disney's Frozen JR.
at the 2023 Junior Theatre Festival in Birmingham

To celebrate the release of Disney's FROZEN JR., we’re giving one lucky school/youth group who licenses a production of the show the chance to perform an excerpt of the show in front of an audience of over a thousand young people at MTI’s very own Junior Theatre Festival on 29th April 2023. The successful school/youth group will receive free access to the Festival and will be invited to perform “Fixer Upper” from Disney's FROZEN JR. on the main stage during the Festival’s Awards Ceremony.

HOW TO APPLY

  1. Obtain your Performance Agreement for Disney's FROZEN JR. (if you haven’t already done so)
  2. Register for the opportunity by completing an online registration process before Friday 27th January 2023
  3. Share a video of one of your rehearsals of “Fixer Upper” no later than Friday 17th February 2023
  4. The successful group/school will be contacted no later than Friday 3rd March 2023.

HOW WILL THE CHOSEN GROUP BE SELECTED?

PART 1 – ONLINE REGISTRATION PROCESS

The online registration process asks you to demonstrate how you will use this opportunity to strengthen your school/youth group community, provide outreach to underserved groups, and support inclusive and diverse theatre programmes.

PART 2 – SHARE YOUR REHEARSAL VIDEO

Share your rehearsal video by email to frozenvideo@mtishows.co.uk

The rehearsal video can be a recording on your mobile device – we are not expecting fully produced videos, and the quality of your rehearsal video will not affect the decision making process.

Performing on the main stage at the Junior Theatre Festival can be incredibly daunting for even the most seasoned of performers, the video audition will show how your young people work together to support and encourage throughout a performance. It should show creativity, inclusivity and a commitment to both ensemble and storytelling.
