Lucienne Camilleri Artistic Director and Script Writer Lucienne is a literature enthusiast and passionate script writer. Over the past years, Lucienne has been responsible for all the scripts and artistic direction of DLS Productions’ original concepts. To name a few A Case of Cabaret, Belliegha, Carmen and A War To End All Wars which have all been greatly accredited for their original plots and emotional delivery. She has directed a variety of casts, from groups of experienced performers to large amateur casts to school children to professional singers. Lucienne adapts her skills and imagination to the capabilities of the performers for the best possible outcome. She is also a trained dancer in ballet, modern jazz, Spanish flamenco and eastern dance and has contributed to the theatre as an actor, dance captain and choreographer in various productions including the operettas at the Manoel Theatre under the direction of Mr George Micallef and Mr Joe Izzo. These included amongst others Cin Ci La, Al Cavallino Bianco, Il Paese dei Campanelli and La Vedova Allegra. In Ghosts of Christmas Past Lucienne created a script with an emotional delivery keeping in line with the Christmas spirit conveyed through narrative, movement and rock carol music. Lucienne was responsible for the direction and training of the actors as well as the general artistic direction of the project. Her last project was a cabaret written for Notte Bianca which she directed and choreographed. Addams family the musical was her latest venture held at MCC Valletta. She directed and co choreographed this in February 2020.
