TWO Successful Schools/Youth Groups will be given the opportunity to attend the 2024 Junior Theatre Festival in Birmingham FOR FREE

MTI is thrilled to give away two free group places for the Junior Theatre Festival. The lucky school/youth groups will have the opportunity to attend the Festival, which will be held at Birmingham’s ICC on both Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th May 2024, completely free of charge, as well as receiving a travel and accommodation bursary of up to £1500. Applicants select which date they’d prefer to attend.

This opportunity reflects MTI’s commitment to increasing access to the arts and promoting the arts within the community. The two lucky recipients will have the chance to participate in workshops, performances, and networking opportunities alongside other passionate young artists.

The online registration process asks you to demonstrate how you will use this opportunity to strengthen your school/youth group community, provide outreach to underserved groups, and support inclusive and diverse theatre programmes.

Share your rehearsal video by email to jtf@mtishows.co.uk

The rehearsal video can be of ANY segment of the Broadway Junior show that you’re currently rehearsing. It should be no longer than 3 minutes. The rehearsal video can be a recording on your mobile device – we are not expecting fully produced videos, and the quality of your rehearsal video will not affect the decision-making process.

The video audition should show how your young people work together to support and encourage each other throughout a performance. It should show creativity, inclusivity and a commitment to both ensemble and storytelling.
