Michael Weiner co-wrote music and lyrics for the Broadway musical First Date, which played on Broadway at the Longacre Theatre and has subsequently had over a hundred and fifty productions around the world. Recently, Michael co-wrote the first original song for the High School Muscial series on Disney+ and he co-wrote songs for the critically acclaimed musical episode of ABC's Once Upon a Time. Michael co-wrote the score for the musical adaptation of the film Secondhand Lions (book by Rupert Holmes/produced by Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures) which premiered at Seattle's 5th Avenue Theatre and composed the music for Liberty Smith, an original musical that opened at historic Ford's Theatre in Washington D.C. In the world of theme parks, Michael co-wrote original songs for the hottest musical act in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Celestina Warbeck & The Banshees, based on a character by J.K. Rowling as well as book and songs for Disney Cruise Line's long-running original stage musical Twice Charmed (soundtrack on Walt Disney Records). Michael has developed TV shows for ABC, AMAZON, FOX, CW, Disney Channel and Nickelodeon. Upcoming projects include: stage adaptations of the hit films 17 Again ( directed by Adam Shankman/Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures) and13 Going On 30 (directed by Andy Fickman), an original musical Galileo (directed by Michael Mayer/book by Danny Strong) as well as songs for an animated feature film at Dreamworks Animation.
