Inspiration

A Charles Dickens Christmas is a fictional account inspired by the 1843 novella A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, as well as the actual writer himself and just how his world-famous work came into being.

A Charles Dickens Christmas premiered at the Promenade Theater in New York City on December 3, 1988, and ran through Christmas until December 31, 1988, as part of TheatreWorks/USA s season that year.
