The Day Before Spring

The Day Before Spring
Choices made between love and marriage are explored in Lerner and Loewe’s little-known gem, set at a 10th Year college reunion.

Lerner and Loewe’s The Day Before Spring had a short Broadway run in 1945, and although the show was never recorded, it has enjoyed select concert re-appearances through the years. Passages of this musical inspired other Lerner and Loewe productions, including the song, “Where’s My Wife?” which was used in the title song from Gigi, while additional musical flourishes can be heard in My Fair Lady.  The show’s representation by MTI marks the first time it will be available for licensing.

The Day Before Spring follows a married woman who, at a college reunion, meets the man with whom she almost eloped ten years before. Romantically stirred by a novel he has written about their affair, she considers leaving her husband and reuniting with her former flame.

This title is currently unavailable for licensing. Perusal and license applications are not available until release.
