Gary Pearle

Gary Pearle spent a season as resident director, courtesy of a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. At Area, he developed and directed the original production of Tntypes and stages Noel Coward's Design For Living. In New York, his directorial credits include the original productions of Ted Talley's Hooters and Dallas Muphy's The Terrorists, both at Playwrights Horizons, the revue Tonight at 7:30, which he concieved and directed for the Manhattan Theatre Club, and the Off-Broadway production of Tintypes, for which he recieved a Drama Desk award nomination. Gary is a former artistic director of the Williamstown Theatre Cabaret; other regional credits include Bandstand at the American Stage Festival in New Hampshire and Shelter at Theatre Three in Dallas.
