I'm using carpet foam to make them...any tips or ideas? I made ninja turtle costumes once using this and hot glued 'darts' to make the form...is there a better way to make them? March 4 we open so hurry!

Your idea seems like it'd work just fine.

Hi Mary! Carpet foam works fine and your young actors certainly have ultimate flexibility. Spray paint to shade edges for depth helps on foam. The pink insulation is stiff yet light and cuts well also. This can be painted on easily, taped together for larger pieces or to piece together bigger objects. It can break, but you might want to weigh the advantages. Foam core board (easily obtainable, even at the Dollar stores, still works great, you can use markers or paint and holds up well and is easy to cut..especially for forks, spoons, salt and pepper etc. Velcro, web belting, backpack harnesses all work fine for attaching to the body. Keep me posted...I love problem solving! CR
