I'm directing a show as a capstone project for my Creative Arts and Design program with my high school and I need help picking a Broadway Jr. show! I would like to do a show with not extensive choreography, and not very big sets or extravagant costumes. Thank you!

Gavin, I think the first question has to be.. how big, and how experienced are you expecting the cast to be? That will certainly help in identifying which of the myriad of shows might be better suited to your need. As far as "simple sets/costumes", I can't stop singing the praises (though the kids in our program *really* don't want to hear me sing) about "Dear Edwina JR.". It's also easy on the blocking/choreography, due to the segmented nature of the presentation. Check it out.. there are plenty of images and youtube video's out there.

There are many options for you Gavin. The MTI KIDS collection shows are simpler only because of the length...30 minutes versus 60. We now have a number of our legacy shows in both formats,(Guys and Dolls, Music Man etc.) The simplest full JR shows to examine for your specs might be Schoolhouse Rock Live JR, Annie JR, Dear Edwina JR. Sets and Costumes can be minimalistic or full blown! Lets get you some perusals to check out?
